DNA is a 36 × 24 inch oil painting from my earlier body of abstract work. Blue, gray, black, and white tones move through the surface in a minimal composition built around curved form and line.
White space is held in intentional balance with more saturated color, allowing the structure of the composition to remain clear and contained. I focused on building texture through layered oil paint without excess, creating a surface that catches the light and gives the cooler tones a soft, internal glow. The result is a piece that feels both rhythmic and grounded.
