Sophia is the second work in my Women Collection. I created the piece as a continuation of my exploration of form, material, and physical presence—allowing softness and structure to exist side by side.
The work is constructed using plaster, mixed media, and recycled canvas. A natural white ground supports three-dimensional elements in raw beige tones, with visible seams and surface variation left intact. These details remain part of the finished work, emphasizing its tactile and constructed nature rather than polish.
At 24 × 24 inches, Sophia holds a contained, sculptural presence. The piece exists between painting and object, with dimensional elements that extend beyond the surface without excess.
