An original oil painting, "Wickford Harbor" embodies the perfect blend between realism and abstraction. "Wickford Harbor" was based off my own photograph taken from a waterfront restaurant in Wickford, Rhode Island. Between its mix of deep blues showcasing east coast waters, and my original textured design, "Wickford Harbor" combines both luxury and imperfection. The lights from above reflect their glow into the sky, while the deep shadows of the water cascade into the rest of the ocean. The boats maintain an abstract design while the masts blend into the skyline. Not only does my application of oil paints create a three dimensional texture in the painting, but the larger sides of 1.5 inches also adds a depth to any wall that does not require a frame. The sides are also painted a neutral beige.
"Wickford Harbor" is ready to hang with proper attached wiring.
